Our community includes the suburbs of Karama, Malak, Wulagi and Anula where 4000 children and young people live in 3 268 families.
The Sanderson Alliance is a way for everyone in the Sanderson Community to work together so that all our children and young people learn and thrive. We are a cross-sectoral, community-led collective partnership between schools in the Sanderson area, parents, carers, schools, community services, government departments, businesses, churches, sporting clubs, cultural leaders and others.
The story of the Sanderson Alliance started in 2014 when schools and organisations working in the Sanderson area came together to look at new ways of working together collaboratively. Now, using a collective impact approach since late 2015, we are working closely together for children and young people.
The early work to create the Sanderson Alliance is led by:
The Smith Family
Save the Children
NT Music School
Malak Reengagement Centre
Charles Darwin University
Melaleuca Refugee Support Centre
