You are invited to come along on Friday 27 October to hear about the things people said and why. We will talk about what people have been doing in response to these conversations and explore what else our community can do to make the Sanderson area really great for all our children and young people.
In May the Sanderson Alliance had a month of community conversations about how our community can be an even better place for children and young people. People in Karama, Malak, Wulagi and Anula, who care very much about our community, came together. We enjoyed good company, dinner and a conversation about the things that really matter to us all.
We've had at least 600 face-to-face conversations with children, young people and adults. We gathered 422 responses to our questionnaire. The aspirations that people shared, were that we live in:
A safe and caring community where people look out for children and each other.
A harmonious and respectful community that celebrates our diverse identities and cultures.
A resilient and confident community where people are positive and understanding.
A fun community where there are many activities and events for children, young people and adults.
A community of opportunity where everyone has the material basics, good health and skills to help themselves and our community.
The whole family and children are welcome … invite your friends.
We hope you to see you there!
