We would like you to join us at the awards ceremony of our first collective art show. It is part of a HUGE day of family fun at the Sanderon NAC Community Village.
Its all about celebrating and learning about positive relationships and is part of the Sanderson Alliance focus on talking about family violence this year.
The Alliance of seven schools, Karama, Sanderson Middle, Anula, Manunda Terrace, Wulagi, Malak Primary and Malak Re-engagement Centre with NGO’s Save the Children, Red Cross, Good Start Early Learning, The Smith Family and Corrugated Iron has begun to look at the complexities of educating our 4056 children in our community.
One of the data sets that impacted us and that we believe impacts all our learners significantly is police data of family and domestic violence in all our suburbs. We want all of our children to understand that they have a right to safe and caring relationships as children and as they grow up and form families and relationships of their own.
To that end we have embarked on a 100 Day Challenge to learn about and take action to address family and domestic violence. That’s big! Our campaign is called Kind and Brave— Everyone has a right to feel safe and cared for. The inaugural Sanderson Art Show is our first ever collective event and is focused on exploring and celebrating positive relationships.
